The Nitrogen Treatment

The nitrogen treatment is divided into Salt Bath Nitrding and Gas Nitriding.

1. The definition:

A. Salt Bath Nitriding is a metal molten salt surface modification and strengthening technology. The workpiece in two different properties of molten salt liquid successively for processing, make multiple elements into the metal surface together, forming compound layer which composed by some compounds, make the metal surface get the enhancement and modification. Abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance have improved largely.

The suitable material: iron, steel, non-ferrous metal

B. Gas nitriding is that the nitrogen poured into a stove to process, which also make the metal surface get the enhancement and modification. Abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance have improved largely.

2. The sameness: A. Both of them could achieve the hardness.

                                B. Both of them need too much time to do.

3. The difference:  A. the finished color is different.

     The part with Salt Bath Nitriding is black color.

     However, the part with Gas Nitriding is grey color.
